Coming up this Friday, April 4th, 2008, the Central Illinois Drupal Meet Up Group in conjunction with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is hosting a Drupal Boot Camp on UIUC's campus. If you have heard of Drupal but never used it, feel burdened by the learning curve, or are just interested in learning more about Drupal, this is the event for you! Did I mention yet that this is FREE?

The morning will feature a number of presentations on Drupal basics and the afternoon will have a hands-on session to learn how to get started building your own Drupal site. You can view the full agenda here on our event website.

There are around 60 people registered to attend the event already. If you're going to be in the area and are looking for a great way to get acquainted with Drupal and meet some great Drupal rockstars, sign up on our event page (so we can gauge how much refreshments we need), take our pre-survey, and come see us Friday!

Can't make it to Champaign this Friday? Bradley University will be sponsoring a DrupalCamp (date to be announced very soon, this week we hope) in early-to-mid May in Peoria, Illinois which will also be free and open to the public!

I have been hearing more and more about Drupal. i wish I lived close so i could have gone to this. I may just take a dive and and start learning on my own.
